Both WAV and AIFF offer uncompressed quality to match the quality of CD however, MP3 files are compressed so offer lower quality but have smaller file sizes. If you have chosen digital files we convert to the required audio file format, as standard, we offer WAV, AIFF or MP3. Once we have transferred your Reel or cassette and filtered out the background noise we will then convert it to the required file format that you require, if you have chosen CD we will convert firstly to WAV files before creating your audio compact disc.

We connect the Pocket Memo 398 to a Sony DTC-750 DAT recorder which is then connected to one of our computers by optical digital cable to offer the best transfer quality possible for your cassette. The Mini Cassette was produced by Philips and is a different size from the Micro Cassettes that were produced by Sony, Panasonic or Olympus. When transferring Mini Cassettes we use a Philips Pocket Memo 398. We connect the M-530V to a Sony DTC-750 DAT recorder which is then connected to one of our computers by optical digital cable to offer the best transfer quality possible for your cassette. The micro cassette was used in dictaphones produced by companies such as Sony, Panasonic and Olympus. When transferring Micro Cassettes we use a Sony M-530V.
We connect the tape decks directly to a Sony DTC-750 DAT recorder which then passes the signal from the tape deck directly to one of our computers. Both decks are great for playing old cassettes however, the Denon is a dual capstan deck making it better for hard-to-play tapes that are a little tight due to not being played for a long time. Our open reel recorder is a 4 track recorder which enables us to transfer any reels that were also recorded on a multi-track machine.įor transferring Compact Cassettes we use one of two tape decks, a Technics RS-BX601 or a Denon DRM-740, both decks are 3 head machines offering the best quality for transferring your cassettes or tapes. We can capture, transfer and convert reels recorded at speeds of 1 7/8, 3 3/4 and 7 1/2.

We can transfer and convert your 1/4″ Audio Reels, Standard Compact Cassettes as well as the smaller Micro Cassettes that were used with dictaphones.
